The humble sea cucumber - Edible or no?

If I were starving, I would eat one for sure. And, if you were trapped on a desert island in BC and starving, you might too! Sea cucumbers are edible, believe it or not. Check them out up close in my new youtube series, "Would you eat this?".

I want to keep the series fun and interesting to counter all the bracing news out there lately, so these videos are meant to be an engaging foodie survival series of weird and wonderful things you could eat to survive on the Pacific Northwest coast, some of them tasty and some just sustenance.

From sustainable edible wild weeds to nutrient rich plants for survival and beach forage superfoods like seaweeds and shellfish. Learn about any poisonous plants you should avoid and simple cooking methods for the food you find in this 2 hour video collection. I've been teaching wild foraging classes for over a decade in BC and would love to share my knowledge with you.

Video Release date: On April 10th, we'll email you the 2 hour video package that you can watch anytime. I will be available by email to answer any questions. The great thing about these videos is you can have them on your phone to refer to whenever you're foraging. It's like I'm in your jacket pocket:)

Infield day: On April 11th and 18th(1-3pm), I'll be online to answer questions on the wild foods I've covered. So you can watch infield and I'll help you with ID or watch the video at home whenever/wherever is convenient and email me questions. Note that you are not allowed to harvest from BC parks. I'll outline in the video where you can legally pick.
