PAIN RELIEF
Willow (Salix spp.) bark, the bark of several varieties of willow tree, has been used for centuries as a pain reliever. The active ingredient in the medicine made from willow bark is called salicin. Some people use willow bark as an alternative to aspirin, particularly those that experience chronic headaches or back pain.
Borage (Borago officinalis) is a beautiful wild weed that can help with fevers and respiratory ailments. The fresh herb has a cucumber like scent, steep it in water with lemon and sugar for a refreshing and restorative drink. Its blue star shaped flowers are distinctive in its identification.
