Hi ,
My latest forest finds are lobster mushrooms (they actually smell like seafood), bears tooth mushroom and white chanterelles in the Okanagan. That's why it's so exciting hunting in BC, because there's over 10,000 species of fungi and each region has it's specific species that grow well there. Here's a little teaser video from my new online mushroom foraging course due out in October. Check it
out for a few tips on how to find your own lobster mushrooms.
Milking mushrooms like this orange one (Lactarius aestivus, related to the Saffron milk cap) are some of the coolest mushrooms in BC, when you break them an orange latex oozes out!
