Geoduck is our largest delicious clam on the Pacific coast. You need a bucket with the bottom cut out, a spade and a negative tide to dig for your own. Bookmark April dates for super low tides as these big clams are found only in the lower intertidal zone wayyyy down the beach, so you need to chose the
right day to go. Geoduck can cost up to $60/lb, so get out there and get digging! For the full story, check out my latest post or come chat with me about it on a sea foraging class.
Psst.. We have a few more tickets to Feb 19 + Mar 5th's sea foraging classes at Belcarra if you want to learn more about all the delicious seafood you can harvest without a boat from the coast with me.
