Mushroom Foraging for Beginners!

The Swallow Tail team has been teaching people how to identify edible mushrooms for over a decade.  Come with our myco experts on this foray to the Malcolm Knapp research forest to start your own foraging journey.    We'll go on an easy stroll to identify all the edible mushrooms that we find and we'll give you all our best tips and tricks on how to cook them.  October is amazing for mushrooms in this area so it should be a really fun trip with lots of info on safety and sustainable harvesting practices covered.   We also have trips into different habitats like the North Shore Mountains and Whistler this year which can teach you about mushrooms like porcini and matsutake, check the calendar here.
