Okanagan Wine Tours
We also are happy to  have one of our wine experts in the Okanagan take you and your friends on a private wine tasting tour.

Samantha Gutmanis of my kitchen love the blog recently joined us on a Swallow Tail Tour of the southern Okanagan.  This is a concrete egg fermentation tank that they were shown on a wine making tour at Lariana Winery.  Why would you use a tank that looks like something Mork would get into? Instead of fermenting in oak or stainless steel, this is another vessel that's seeing increasing popularity in BC wine making.  These are neutral vessels similar to a stainless steel tank.  A winemaker using a concrete egg would want the pure taste of the fruit to dominate in the wine. One of these puppies goes for $20000!
