Latin Fusion by Chef Kristian Leidig
Inspired from his recent culinary adventures in South America, Chef Kristian (Bacchus at the Westwood) is creating a one time only 5 course menu for Swallow Tail members.  Latin cuisine made lovingly with the best of BC's harvest season.

  • Duck breast with traditional mole sauce, yuca & sweet potato puree with frijoles negros

  • Beef heart tacos with smoked potato, caramelized onions and aji amarillo salsa

  • BC's freshest seafood ceviche

Sunday, Oct 29th - Halloween Brunch
A really fun and delicious vegetarian Halloween brunch by the queen of creativity, Chef Heather (Grapes & Soda, Harvest).  Who wouldn't want to start Halloween off with a full belly and a smile on their face.  This will be a family style brunch with lots of dishes to try that will tickle your funny bone, more treat than trick.  Hosted at the Swallow Tail secret supper club.

  • Mummy meat (Fall wild mushrooms wrapped in pastry)
  • Radioactive brains (playing with cauliflower, green sauce of course)
  • Deadly sourdough (charcoal sourdough)
  • Haunted pumpkin potato pot pie with ghostly handmade pastry

Our Fall Wild Mushroom tours focus on how to identify wild mushrooms like porcini, chanterelle, honey, wild oysters and dozens more edibles that you will never find in the grocery store! Our ever-popular forays are 2-hour trips walking through BC’s forest to identify whatever we find with an expert wildcraft guide.  They book up fast!
Enjoy a chef-prepared wild light lunch with tips and tricks on how best to cook and preserve all the dozens of different wild edibles in the forests. (note: this is not a live cooking demo or a harvesting trip)
